Inspired by bands like Bathory, Hellhammer, Candlemass… Runemagick was forged in the early 90's by Nicklas Rudolfsson . During the first years there was a lot of lineup changes and several underground cassettes were released. Between 1993-96 the band rested in the grave but in 1997 it was time for the resurrection of Runemagick . With a new lineup and a record-deal with Century Media Records the magick started to sound again. The first album was only songs from the demo-days re-recorded. Two more albums were recorded for Century Media "Enter the Realm of Death" and "Resurrection in Blood". During the recording of the 3 rd album in 2000 the lineup changed again and Nicklas was now joined by Daniel Moi lanen on drums and Emma Karlsson on bass.
In 2001 Runemagick signed a new record deal with Aftermath Music from Norway and they have continued to co-operate with several releases since then.
The latest album " Envenom " was released in February 2005 by Aftermath Music and it's the heaviest album by Runemagick so far… and the journey will continue
