Thyrane bio

  Daemon - Bass
HM - Synth
Kristonic - Drums
Blastmor - Vocals and Guitars

Their third record for Finnish label Spinefarm Records (home to Children of Bodom!), Travesty of Heavenly Essence is an exceptional journey through extreme sound. Mixed by Ahti Kortelainen (Impaled Nazarene, Sentenced, Sonata Arctica) at Tico-Tico Studios, it is an awe-inspiring sounds that furthers Thyrane's well regarded profile.

Some may label it symphonic black metal others melodic death. Regardless of the tag, Travesty of Heavenly Essence twists and turns with an intensity that will strike hard and refuse to let go. Noted as "an almost-perfect marriage of melody and aggression," the album is an amazing display of the band's precision and dramatic songwriting.

Formed in 1994, Kemi, Finland-based Thyrane have come to record four full-length albums and an ep. The quartet (trimming down from their long-time established 5-piece membership), the band saw previous US exposure/release via Century Media Records. Now with the new Spinefarm/Candlelight cooperation, Travesty of Heavenly Essence finds priority status - as potent as the album's potential.
