THE ESOTERIC are musicians first and foremost; with members having performed in bands ranging from hardcore pioneers COALESCE, to super-pop all-stars REGGIE AND THE FULL EFFECT, indie-rockers THETA and even noisecore stalwarts TODAY IS THE DAY.
With a genre-defying stab at modern conventions, THE ESOTERIC provide a feral four-song glimpse into the future of music! Their latest work, 1336 is a corrosive blend of abrasive but intricate guitars, a pummeling rhythm section, determined, compelling vocals and stellar, memorable songwriting.

THE ESOTERIC have embarked on 5 self-financed US tours as well as touring as main support for the COALESCE reunion tour in 2002. Along with their independent touring, THE ESOTERIC have played literally hundreds of shows over the last several years, performing with everyone from the likes of NEUROSIS and CONVERGE, to IN FLAMES, NILE, SHADOWS FALL, ISIS, HATEBREED, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, MASTODON, CAVE-IN, THURSDAY, CLUTCH, AFI, THE BLOOD BROTHERS, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and more, bringing out heads to their shows through constant regional headlining and support shows.

In addition to their regional performance and touring schedules, the band have performed at several regional and national festivals including the March Metal Meltdown, Milwaukee Metalfest, the Mid-South Metalfest, MACRoCk, the Midwest Metal and Hardcore Festival and CBGB's Mad Grinderz' Ball.
