The band INCAPACITY was born at the end of summer 2002 when Omer from Cold Records called up Anders Edlund from Solar Dawn and asked him if he was interested in a contract deal with Cold Records. The only demands was that he gathered some of his friends that was or had been in a well-known band and that the musical style of the band had to be death/thrash.


Anders had earlier been in contact with his friend Robert Ivarsson, once in the legendary swedish band Pan-Thy-Monium ( incl. Edge of Sanity vocalist Dan Swanö ) and the guys had been talking about starting up an old-school thrashband. They both saw the chance to make this bandidea a reality and Robert agreed to join this band. Christian Älvestam ( Unmoored/ Solar Dawn ) was recruited to handle the guitarduties along with Robert. Finding a suitable drummer was the hardest problem and after rehearsing with two different drummers the choice fell upon Henrik Schönström ( Unmoored/ Solar Dawn/ Traumatized ) mostly because Anders and Christian played with him in Solar Dawn but also since he is an extremely skilled drummer and one of the best around dispite his young age. The singer in the very begining was Roberth Karlsson ( Pan-Thy-Monium/ Edge of Sanity ) but he later quit the band due to personal matters and instead the guys asked Andreas "Dread" Axelsson ( Edge of Sanity/ Infestdead ) if he would like to handle the mic in this band. A pretty long time had passed since Dread played deathmetal and he agreed to join at once. The band was now complete and they began to rehearse for the upcoming studio-session in the Black Lounge Studio owned by Jonas Kjellgren of Carnal Forge/ Centinex.

Every weekend between August to November was rehearsing weekends and the guys felt more and more that they had their personal Incapacity-style developed. Then in December 2002 they entered B.L. Studio to record the debutalbum Chaos Complete, a 45 minute piece of extreme and aggresive music but yet with a lot of trademarked Swedish melodies in it. Some people say it sounds like a mix between Edge of Sanity and the new wave of swedish thrash metal, like for instance Carnal Forge, The Haunted e.t.c. An old spirit reborn in a fresh package. And considering the members in Incapacity it's not that strange the sound is a mix between the old swedish metalschool and the new one!

In the nearest future the band will promote the album by playing live to get a chance to meet the fans, to answer as many interviews as possible. And also they will start preparing, by write new material, for the upcoming album ( to be recorded sometime early 2004 ).
