Chicago's Based USURPER has been forced to withdraw from their upcoming appearance at Toronto's Day OF The Equinox Festival, Featuring Thrash Legends SACRIFICE, re-animated with their original line up for the first time in fifteen years, for what is being touted as a one time only reunion gig, along with Mesopotamian Metal Pioneers MELECHESH and Toronto old school thrash Metallers RAMMER

Details on USURPER's withdrawal are sparse except it has been noted one guitar player has been forced to undergo immediate surgery on his wrist, The recovery process is expected to last into 2007, thereby putting USURPER on a short term hiatus. In 14 years as a band, this is only the second show USURPER has ever had to cancel. The band is greatly disappointed they are no longer available to perform at this exclusive gig, but vows to return and make it up to their fans once the healing process has completed.
