Deicide: 'The Stench of Redemption' In-Studio Report Deicide is currently in the midst of recording their second full-length release for Earache records. Logging in some crucial time at Morris Sound in Tampa Florida, Deicide are running well ahead of schedule and from the looks of it will have everything finished in record time.
Checking in with the band yesterday, much of the music portion of the recording has been completed for the 11 plus song album. All of the drum and rhythm guitar tracks were completed according to drummer Steve Asheim. The band were setting their sights on dialing in the lead guitar tracks for dual guitar attack Jack Owen and Ralph Santolla to add to the mix. "Everyone is excited how it's turning out so far," said Asheim, "we're looking forward to what the leads and Glen's vocals will do to add to the record." The Almighty Glen Benton was currently prepping himself to lay down some of the most brutal Deicide vocals so far within the band's 16 plus year career. The world is looking forward to hearing the next chapter in this now legendary metal band's discography.
The Stench of Redemption marks the first recording outing with the new Deicide line-up post Hoffman Brothers. Both Benton and Asheim are confident that Jack and Ralph would outdo guitar tracks from the previous albums. The album is currently scheduled for a release for the most unholy of days, 6.6.06. The blasphemy will return in 2006!
Deicide's first ever live DVD "When London Burns" is in stores now and available through the Earache web store.
