Deicide's Glen Benton featured on Roadrunner United

New York - Earache Records recording artist, Glen Benton of Deicide recently lent his diabolical voice to Roadrunner Records' aniversary package due out on October 11th. The package entitled, "Roadrunner United: The All Star Sessions" will commemorate 25 years of service to the metal community, and will feature a CD and DVD. The all-star sessions consist of four captains: Joey Jordison (Slipknot, Murderdolls), Robert Flynn (Machine Head, Soulfly), Dino Cizares (Fear Factory), and Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium), working with 55 artists of Road Runner's past and present to bring the masses 18 tracks of metal mayhem.

The inverted cross-branded Glen Benton will be growling on the track, "Annihilation By the Hands of God." Joining him will be Rob Barret on rhythm guitar (Malevolent Creation, ex-Cannible Corpse), James Murphy performing a guitar solo (Death, ex-Obituary), the flyin' fingers of Steve DiGiorgio on the fretless bass (Death, Iced Earth, Testament, Sadus), and the death metal loving Joey Jordison (Slipknot, Murderdolls) on the skins.

Deicide released 8 albums through Roadrunner before signing with Earache Records in 2002. In 2004 Deicide made their Earache debut releasing "Scars of the Crucifix," which was considered by many as the comeback death metal album of the year. Glen Benton is also known for creating "Once Upon the Cross," "Legion," and "Amon," which are considered by many as genre-shaping death metal albums.
