CELTIC FROST Prepare For North American Tour

CELTIC FROST mainman Tom Gabriel Fischer has posted the following message at his official blog:

"The night before the band's departure to New York to commence Celtic Frost's first tour of the US and Canada in 17 years. We have prepared two concert sets slightly different from the sets played this past summer during our festival appearances. Finally we will be able again to convey the dusk of our musical processions to the masses that have been deprived of sufficient morbidity for so long. They shall never forget."

In a previous post he adds: "Shortly before we flew to Norway, Les Barany let us know that H.R. Giger would be ready to welcome us again at his home in Zurich after our return to commemorate our renewed collaboration after all these years. Even a lifelong veneration of Giger's art and genius is insufficient to serve as a preparation for the reverence experienced every time when in the presence of Giger's work or Giger himself. Martin brought huge bags full of prototypes of the new Giger/Celtic Frost joint merchandise for Giger to examine and keep. And Giger seemed truly happy with it. He was an incredibly engaging and considerate host, and to celebrate our shared history and the entering into the new venture, he brought out a red wine so heavy that both Martin and I felt dazed even after the first glass. Giger must be one of the most extraordinary artists currently alive, and, beyond it, he is a truly exceptional human being. Les told us day or so later that when Giger called him to report about our visit and the look of the merchandise, he had Celtic Frost's new album playing in the background."
